Your tee is beautiful and you look stunning in it! It seems like you just started it!

I don’t know who said the quote about the three feet but I love it!

A gansey is also known as a guernsey is a sweater typically worn by fishermen from the islands around Britain and up the coast (I think). They have a unique construction that allows for arms movements , they are textured and some knitted knit their initials on the bottom.

I have been reading Beth Brown Reinsel’s book. The little sample sweater is in my to-do list!!

I love the quote too Jane :) I'll let you know next week. Thank you so much for your kind praise.

Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge of Ganseys! That looks like a wonderful book by Beth Brown-Reinsel on Knitting Ganseys :) I hope you love the design you make from that book when you knit it.

I will! It’s about #3 or 4 in the sweater queue, so it’ll be a while!

Your tee turned out absolutely fabulous. The color looks beautiful on you. And I love how you allow some learning and experimentation with every project and the fact that you reflect on it as well. Thank you so much for the support Jodie! I can't wait to see what your choices will be for Low Key Scarf. I hope you find the knit enjoyable.

Your tee looks great - you mention a few things I would love to learn

The reverse stockinette ( I noticed the purl face on your tee and it does put me off making it although I love the final look) so if there is a way around this …

Avoiding P2 tog TBL ( agree that’s tricky ) with magic loop ?

So if you could provide any links to those tricks - that would be great.

Thank you

Thank you for your kind comment. The body is worked on the wrong side, so I was still knitting every row not purling. The way I worked out how to continue knitting on the wrong side was a bit of trial and error. When I researched this on the internet, I didn't find anything that helped me. I'll write up some notes on that and let you know. With the P2 tog TBL there were very few of those required, so I just took my time and they got done. :) I highly recommend this pattern, the yoke is just gorgeous.

Bordeaux does indeed look good on you, and you look so happy wearing it! 🥰 Nope, I typically leave my knit items for a few days/weeks after they’re finished because I’m usually being precious about them. The more items I make, I’m getting less precious and want to enjoy them as soon as possible.

Thank you Tashay for your kind words! I can appreciate you now wanting to enjoy them as soon as possible. I'm reminded of the nature of things. Our knits can change with wear, I'm looking at you "pilling" and when they are brand new, they look emaculate :) I'm wearing my blue True Nature tee as I write this, and it's got more drape and looks to have grown in length at the bottom since I first wore it. It's been handwashed a number of times and dried flat inside. The nature of bamboo/cotton fiber is that it does stretch so it's all about me accepting this. Also knowing I could unravel the bottom and make it shorter. That's for another day, :) How's your knitting going?

I relate to this sentiment so much; I’m “afraid” of my knits growing or shrinking out of shape. Oh well, I guess we can’t control everything.

My knitting is going well. My needles are currently clear and I’m taking a few days off to give my hands a break. Finished a vest last week 🙂

oooh a vest! how lovely. May your hands feel great after a little time off. We don't have control over those things. Over time we get to know fibers and how they behave and have a chance to adjust our knits to suit the nature of the fiber. Designers who know their stuff around this topic I admire greatly. I look forward to seeing your vest :)

I am knitting a beginners ribbed hat, a quick project before I start on the Tunisian hexagon blanket CAL which I am part of.

They sound fun! Enjoy the CAL, Tunisian crochet creates such beautiful projects. I've just started playing with some recycled silk yarn from Nepal that is so colorful. It's a little tricky to see the stitches. The yarn's construction seems to be lots of fine threads plyed together, so lots of those shorter threads stick out from the strand :)
