As some of you know, I’m living in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Every Monday I like to treat myself and we all go out somewhere for breakfast.
On one Monday adventure, I met a lovely Thai woman who runs a local bakery.
I asked her if she sells cinnamon rolls (as I love getting her delicious cakes!) She doesn’t, but she offered to teach me to make them. So kind of her!
One afternoon, she showed me how to make cinnamon rolls for the first time.
I’ve made many baked goods over the years but I’ve never had a go at this. I’ll never take them for granted again!
They take around 3.5 hours from start to finish! Including 45 mins and 1-hour periods for the dough to rest.
The most surprising thing was incorporating the butter into the other ingredients for the dough. There was so much of it compared to the rest of the mixture!
I thought, “there’s no way this will come together to form a ball of dough.”
